Rocky Fork Recreation

Rocky Fork Recreation is one of the most versatile outdoor fun places you will find in Guernsey County, or even the eastern side of Ohio! Set on hundreds of acres of beautiful hills and available for what you would think of when you think outdoor recreation…………..hiking, nature study areas, sightseeing, animal spotting, geocaching, and outdoor FUN!

Here’s a partial list of outdoor amenities at Rocky Fork Recreation: Golf driving range; catch and release fishing at our own 5-acre lake; pedal boats/canoeing on our lake; horseback riding; ATV’s; Native American Pow-wows; rodeo shows; guided nature walks and, of course, hiking on your own, aided by one of our maps.

Rocky Fork has a lighted rodeo arena and western town, featuring youth rodeos every other weekend throughout the summer season. Rocky Fork is the permanent home of the Southeastern Ohio Youth Rodeo Association, with participating families living up to 120 miles away. It also has a major stable with dozens of horses and guided trail rides whenever the weather permits. Pony rides and lessons are conducted in the arena which can be reserved.
Rocky Fork also features its’ own recreational lake, a golf driving range, shooting range and some of the most challenging hiking an outdoor person could want. You will want to plan for a day of adventure and fun! One day usually isn’t enough time to enjoy all we have to offer, so you can take advantage of camping or cabin rentals offered at Grand Haven Resort. Although it has 255 campsites (not counting the 40 primitive sites) and 117 lodging facilities there is still plenty of room there to spread out and enjoy your relaxation time!

Thousands of RVers have found us, out in the country, way, way away from those noisy interstates and riff raff. We are campers and outdoorsmen; sociable, interesting, exciting, fun-loving campers, and proud of it! Nestled, if you can call it that, amid 850 acres of wilderness in Southeastern Ohio.
Rocky Fork Recreation is primarily wooded and is dominated by three major ridges, with a 300-feet elevation difference from ridge top to valley floor. Exciting chasms separate the ridges, with major and minor streams to wade in or ford. Horse trails share the woods on their own trails when the weather is right, and we even have special and very challenging hiking trails, with a guide or on your own with our trail maps.
